Trauma-Informed

Breathwork Facilitator Training

Rooted in Embodied Social Justice & Decolonial Healing

Internationally Recognised & Accredited Training

Class begins 1st December 2026

Deadline for applications: Sunday 11th October

Become a Certified Trauma-Informed Breathwork Facilitator

Learn how to safely and ethically guide others using the breath as a therapeutic tool. This 2-year, internationally accredited program prepares you to support individuals with care, compassion, and trauma awareness—whether in private practice, group settings, or institutional spaces.

Breathwork is powerful and can be the bridge between the conscious and subconscious.

Being trauma-informed means understanding how trauma lives in the body.

Trauma is not just a memory—it’s an ongoing response that the body holds as protection.

It may manifest as anxiety, hypervigilance, dissociation, or a host of other physical and emotional symptoms.

Trauma-informed breathwork acknowledges that it’s not about fixing something that is broken, but rather honoring what the body has been through and creating space for safe exploration. It’s about cultivating safety and agency in the breathwork space, rather than pushing for cathartic, intense emotional releases that might do more harm than good.

Recognising Trauma in all its forms

Rooted in Embodied Social Justice, this course acknowledges trauma in all its forms: Personal , Intergenerational , Institutional, and Historical traumas.

This training is a 2-year hybrid online and in-person training.

This course is delivered as Workshops, Seminars, Supervised Breathwork Sessions, Practical Exercises, and 1-to-1 support. This certified training will develop you into a capable and confident breathwork facilitator which you can do alongside work or study.

Year 2: Integration Infiltration Year

This is the year where you infiltrate your communities, and bring breathwork to your people. This is when you develop your personal practice, business development and research with supervision and peer support and feedback. By the end of this year, you will have a written up case-study ready to publish to the breathwork community.

My mission is the commitment to an activist approach to wellness, where breathwork is a tool for personal and societal empowerment, fostering well-being and equity. The current colonial frameworks in wellness depend on our discontent and our disempowerment, to actively disrupt wellness means to empower people in their own liberations.

Inspire Breathwork aims to steward the next generation of breathworkers, actively seeking to bring breathwork out of the wellness industry and infiltrate into to the public domain and key institutions that are often neglected: schools, prisons, corporations, hospitals, etc.

There are 2 key pillars to this approach:

  • The first is the need to empower individuals to reconnect, rekindle and remember their inherent power within their own bodies, to cultivate belonging, safety and dignity in their own healing processes as a process of reclamation - reclamation of strength, of agency, of trust, of breath and of the earth beneath them.

  • The second pillar stands to represent the lens that is needed to bring change, a lens that is able discern the ways our society has developed to oppress, to belittle and to delude us away from our sovereignty. The reclamation of our own bodies and the lens that allows us to see the systems in play, allow us to be active changemakers within society and within the wellness industry.

The awareness of colonialism in wellness and the world, gives us opportunity to heal from the wounds of our modern context. This allows a chance to actively attend what it might mean to birth a new world. If we empower people to become free, liberated from the confines of colonialism and capitalism, we may find solutions to some of our biggest problems.

Our course is designed with a spiralic structure, meaning that rather than moving through topics in a linear fashion, we continuously return to each module as you progress through the levels.

This approach allows for a deepening of understanding with each revisit.

Like a spiral, you’ll encounter the same foundational concepts at different stages of your learning journey, but each time from a new perspective and with greater depth.

This method reflects the natural rhythms of learning and personal growth, where revisiting and re-engaging with key themes allows you to integrate and embody the knowledge more fully. As you advance, you’ll find that each return to a module reveals new insights, deepens your comprehension, and enhances your ability to apply what you’ve learned in real-world scenarios. This cyclical process ensures that your learning is not only cumulative but also transformative, as you continuously build upon and refine your understanding, leading to a more profound innerstanding of the topics.
