Breathwork Facilitator Training Online
Enrolling on an online course to become a Breathwork Facilitator means you’ll take part in lessons delivered online. Some courses offer video courses, however the best courses are classes delivered online where you are part of a student group and can interact with the teacher and other students for a fuller learning experience.
Our online format allows this learning to unfold within your real life, not separate from it. Rather than stepping away from your world, you bring the training into your home, your relationships, and your community. This integration is what makes the learning sustainable and embodied.
What is breathwork training online?
Our 2-year breathwork training is delivered mostly online. This helps facilitate the integration of what we are learning together into the lived experience of your lives and communities. The training we work through takes time to integrate, it takes time to settle and un-settle, it offers spaciousness and honours the speed at which we are moving.
Our breathwork training is one of the longest there is and this can seem like quite a lot of time online. However, what we have found is that using a decolonial perspective, you bring this course with you as the tides change. Students have found doing an online course like ours has been both an anchor and inspiration to the wild times we are living in.
With the majority of the course online, it does ask the student to facilitate their own attendance, to prepare and create space for it in their lives. In the first year, we meet twice a week for each unit, and there are multiple other touchpoints in-between. This format allows me to be present to each student and with what is moving for them personally.
I wouldn’t have any integrity in the work that I do if I didn't believe that this can be taught online. It has opened my eyes to ways breathwork can reach people. I have had the pleasure of working with people from different backgrounds, with different access opportunities, reaching into their lives and sharing breathwork - a tool that becomes so vital to people.
What is a session like?
How long the sessions are
Each unit includes two live sessions per week, alongside additional integration touchpoints.
1. Curriculum Session (2.5 hours)
This session focuses on theory, ethics, trauma-informed practice, and decolonial frameworks. We include a break midway to support nervous system regulation and attention.
2. Breathwork & Embodiment Session (90 minutes)
This is the experiential component. Students are invited to:
Lie down or sit comfortably
Move as needed
Journal
Create private space for practice
In our early sessions, we consciously create a learning culture that honours different learning styles. Movement, pauses, snacks, and rest are welcome. This training does not require you to override your body.
Embodied learning means we do not push through numbness or discomfort. Instead, we cultivate awareness and self-responsibility. Students are encouraged to understand their own learning rhythms and create the conditions that support their engagement.
Do you need to be in a private space?
Ideally, yes particularly for breathwork sessions. A private, quiet environment allows you to:
Feel safe to express emotion
Move freely
Lie down comfortably
Integrate your experience
However, we understand that life is complex. The course is designed to meet you where you are, with flexibility and compassion.
How to Prepare for Online Sessions
We encourage students to:
Set up a comfortable practice space
Bring water and snacks
Take breaks when needed
Arrange cushions, blankets, or a mat
Inform housemates if privacy is required
Breathwork asks for presence, but presence looks different for everyone.
