Breathwork Facilitator Training Course Brochure
Inspiring you to inspire others
Reclaim the Breath, Lead the Revolution
Establish a foundation of expert breathworkers by revealing the stolen medicine of the breath to the lost healers of our time.
Overview of the course and why it exists:
Inspire Breathwork training goes beyond traditional approaches by integrating embodied social justice principles and embracing a decolonial framework. The first of its kind. We decentre whiteness and wish to see breathwork outside of the wellness industry.
Many approaches to healing have been highly individualised, capitalised and isolated.
Our wellness approaches ignore what has contributed to our illness. These approaches cannot create lasting health and this is what we are aspiring to bring about.
With a keen focus on addressing the wounds of our modern context, this training empowers participants to facilitate healing and transformation in a way that is sensitive to systemic oppressions and fosters inclusive, equitable spaces. The breath has always been an indigenous practice that exists in all of our lineages, our job is to remember how to use it.
This course is for those who want to learn what is means to become an expert facilitator, fully equipped to address the wounds of our modern context.
This training employs a loving justice approach within our own bodies. Acknowledging our bodies as sites of activism, loving parts of our exiled selves into deep remembering, reconnecting with the forgotten medicine within us.
This course dives into our own inner journey of decolonial healing, attending to the wounds that we suffer as collateral damage of colonialism, so that we can attend to others who come to seek our support.
As an accredited Breathwork Training Provider, Inspire Breathwork offers training for those working with communities that desire liberation.

Why choose this program?
There are many aspects of traditional breathwork trainings that do not attend to the cultural context of our illness and ignore power dynamics and consent. This training makes you a competent and confident facilitator fully equipped for the clients you will receive.
This training welcomes only 12 people per cohort. Many trainings have much higher numbers. This choice is made so that we can work deeply, closely and intimately together.
The end of this training is the beginning of your action. It does not end with you being a breathwork facilitator. This is just one step in the vision to make breathwork accessible in the public domain.
To disrupt the wellness industry, we need people like you. People who are not only ready to see a change, but to make the change themselves. This course fosters a courage rooted in active hope and the will to change.
This is a GBPA and UKBA accredited course, a recognised accreditation so you can work anywhere around the world.
Breathwork is only 50% of the course, for us to survive under late stage capitalism and succesfully infiltrate the system, we need to understand the business half of this work. Knowing how to run your business means you get to do help more people.
I have been part of the breathwork community for 12 years, I have shown up and worked at cultivating relationships in the space. I am a Director at the UKBA, a core team member for the Breathe Festival, I have been asked to join the board of GBPA and invited to become a member of both Ethics and Diversity Committees (which I turned down). I say this to say, you will be part of a passionate community, who toil the soil with patience and vigor. You will be supported in the challenges and we will work and walk together in your journey.
The Vision
My mission is the commitment to an activist approach to wellness, where breathwork is a tool for personal and societal empowerment, fostering well-being and equity. The current colonial frameworks in wellness depend on our discontent and our disempowerment, to actively disrupt wellness means to empower people in their own liberations.
Inspire Breathwork aims to steward the next generation of breathworkers, actively seeking to bring breathwork out of the wellness industry and infiltrate into to the public domain and key institutions that are often neglected: schools, prisons, corporations, hospitals, etc.
There are 2 key pillars to this approach:
The first is the need to empower individuals to reconnect, rekindle and remember their inherent power within their own bodies, to cultivate belonging, safety and dignity in their own healing processes as a process of reclamation - reclamation of strength, of agency, of trust, of breath and of the earth beneath them.
The second pillar stands to represent the lens that is needed to bring change, a lens that is able discern the ways our society has developed to oppress, to belittle and to delude us away from our sovereignty. The reclamation of our own bodies and the lens that allows us to see the systems in play, allow us to be active changemakers within society and within the wellness industry.
The awareness of colonialism in wellness and the world, gives us opportunity to heal from the wounds of our modern context. This allows a chance to actively attend what it might mean to birth a new world. If we empower people to become free, liberated from the confines of colonialism and capitalism, we may find solutions to some of our biggest problems.
Inspire Breathwork was founded on the principles of freedom and liberation.
With the currents of dominant supremacy culture heavily pedalling colonialism, exploitation and disconnection, it is no wonder that disembodiment has been the only way to tolerate life's atrocities. Honouring this adaptation, and honouring the charge of history, Inspire Breathwork uses the breath to slow down.
Breathwork and embodiment brings us back into the deep remembrance of what freedom really means, remembering our souls and spirit through resilience and imagination, to remember our wisdoms. Our commitment to this is to ensure that we reclaim our power by reclaiming our breath from the moment we lost it. The work we do honours who you are right now, honours the path you have taken and honours the path ahead.
We do not walk this earth alone, we are not here by pure coincidence, we have always been people in context.
Trauma is all about speed, and here with the breath we slow everything down. We notice, we listen and we hold what is fully here. Inspire Breathwork is about the reclamation of space, the reclamation of life, the reclamation of freedom.
We can learn to improve our relationship to your history, to our inherited oppressions, to our relationship with nature and the land and the gifted wounds we have inherited through intergenerational and historical trauma. Breathwork is a powerful and safe practice to attend to these wounds.
Our course is spiralic in nature.
Our course is designed with a spiralic structure, meaning that rather than moving through topics in a linear fashion, we continuously return to each module as you progress through the units.
This approach allows for a deepening of understanding with each revisit. Like a spiral, you’ll encounter the same foundational concepts at different stages of your learning journey, but each time from a new perspective and with greater depth.
This method reflects the natural rhythms of learning and personal growth, where revisiting and re-engaging with key themes allows you to integrate and embody the knowledge more fully.
As you advance, you’ll find that each return to a module reveals new insights, deepens your comprehension, and enhances your ability to apply what you’ve learned in real-world scenarios. This cyclical process ensures that your learning is not only cumulative but also transformative, as you continuously build upon and refine your understanding, leading to a more profound innerstanding of the topics.

How much time shall I dedicate to this training?
In the first 4 units of the training, you will be required to join the classes, breathwork sessions and attend to your learning partner sessions. This total will be around 6 hours a week. The reading is optional - and there may be books that are more relevant to your work than on the reading list. (Some students have created a reading groups, caucus groups, other focus groups outside of class to help with learning and accountability - this is up to you).
In the third 2 units, you will start facilitating 1-to-1 breathwork for your peers online and offline to your community. This will require some homework and preparation. This is also where we start looking at the communities we want to support, this is the time to start thinking about your breathwork practice as a business. This will inevitably take up time in your thought space and movements.
In the second year, you will be conducting breathwork as research and learning. You may charge for your sessions at this point. We will be meeting once a month for 2hrs, but you are expected to be facilitating on a regular basis and continue meeting with a learning partner for peer-to-peer mentorship.
This year will be where you get very clear on who your people are, and start to write up your research. By the end of the year, you will have a case-study on how best to support your community with breathwork and what you learned works best with a specific group of people.
This year will also reveal to you who and why you practice. By the end of the course, you will have a website, a business structure, a salary goal and clarity on how you practice. This will also take some time outside of class.
Assessment to Graduate
Each student must attend each class, attendance must be 90% or above.
Each student much complete a Case Study. A cast study means a written thesis with at least 7 participants and 10 sessions each.
Templates are given for case studies. Case studies offer reflection and learning for us as an industry but for all future learners. As this course aims to work with more history neglected communities, these case studies will offer preliminary research for communities working with and through trauma using breathwork as a method of healing.
This will contribute to a complete book of cases from the student cohort. This will be published and shared with the breathwork community.
Some examples include: ‘Breathwork and Addiction’, ‘Breathwork as Freedom work’, 'Breathwork in the Black community' or 'Breathwork with the Elderly').
Themes will be established and each cohort will publish their own work for the community to learn and develop their skills to bring breathwork out of the wellness industry and into the public domain.
